Germany or the Federal Republic of Germany is located in Central Europe with Berlin as its capital city. The German language was once the lingua franca of central, eastern and northern Europe. Gehrden is a town in the district of Hanover, in Lower Saxony which lies in north-western Germany and is second in area and fourth in population among the country's sixteen Lander or states of Germany. It is situated approximately 10 kilometers southwest of Hanover. As of 2004 Gehrden had a population of 14,906 inhabitants living with in an area of 42.97 square kilometers and had a population density of 347 residents per square kilometer.
Tourism in Germany has expanded since the end of World War II, and many tourists visit Germany to experience a sense of European history. The countryside exhibits a pastoral aura, while its cities exhibit both a modern and classical feel.
