Garding is a town in the district of Nordfriesland, which is in state Schleswig-Holstein, which is in the northernmost of the 16 Bundeslander or federal states in Germany. It had a population of 900 inhabitants as of 2003. It is located in the Eiderstedt peninsula, and part of the Amt Eiderstedt. Historically, Schleswig-Holstein refers to a larger region, containing present-day Schleswig-Holstein and the South Jutland County in Denmark.
 
Tourism in Germany has expanded since the end of World War II, and many tourists visit Germany to experience a sense of European history. The countryside exhibits a pastoral aura, while its cities exhibit both a modern and classical feel.
