Dissen at the Teutoburger forest is a city in the south of the district Osnabrueck in Lower Saxony.  It is located at the south slope of the Teutoburger forest which is a transition to the cathedral country. Highest peak is the Hankenuell that is 307 meters at the northeast city boundary. The population of the city Dissen at the Teutoburger was 9,420 on 30th June 2005 with an area of 31.9 square kilometer and the population density was 295 inhabitants per square kilometer. Dissen at the Teutoburger borders in the north on Melle and Hilter at the Teutoburger forest, in the west on bath Rothenfelde as well as in the south and the east on the North-Rhine or Westphalian cities Versmold and borrowing wood living.
