Arneburg is a city in the district of Stendal, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The city Arneburg is located on the left bank of the Elbe, approximately 12 kilometers northeast of Stendal. It is part of the collective municipality Arneburg-Goldbeck. In the Middle Ages Arneburg was an intentional possession of Brandenburg. Arneburg was a significant Hohenzollern possession and certainly the Elector John Cicero died there in 1499.
 
Arneburg is a municipality on the steep bank of the Elbe, pictorial lain. To the city Arneburg belongs the local part Dalchau. The center of the city forms the market with its remarkable half timbered houses, under it also the city hall with motives for art nouveau, today for branch office of the VGem. Arneburg is the kind of town you daydream about.  It is a city with endless recreational opportunities, rich history, and modern day luxuries.
