Altlandsberg is a town in the district Makisch-Oderland, which is in state Brandenburg, located in Germany. It is situated 22 kilometers east of Berlin centre. Brandenburg is known in lower Sorbian Bramborska and upper Sorbian Braniborska and is one of Germany's sixteen Bundeslader federal states. It lies in the east of the country as it is one of the new states Creata in 1990 upon the reunification of the former West Germany and East Germany. Historically Brandenburg was an independent state which grew to become the core of modern Germany. The state of Brandenburg was named after the town of Brandenburg a der Havel.
