Alpirsbach is a town in the district of Freudenstadt, Baden-Württemberg, a state of the Federal Republic of Germany in the southwestern part of the country to the east of the Upper Rhine which is third largest in both area and population among the country's sixteen states. Alpirsbach is situated 13 kilometers south of Freudenstadt in the Black Forest, a wooded mountain range on the Kinzig River, a German river that runs for 95 kilometers from the Black Forest through the Upper Rhine River Plains.
