Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. The North Sea and the Baltic Sea represent additional National Borders in the North. The official language of Germany is German and Berlin is the capital. The climate is quite pleasant with almost all variety of seasonal flavors as temperate, marine, cool, cloudy, wet winters and summers, occasional warm, tropical foehn wind and high relative humidity.

Germany is divided into 16 states which are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.

Willich is a German city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages. It is located in the Kreis Viersen near the cities Dusseldorf, Monchengladbach and Krefeld, about 30 kilometers from the border to the Netherlands and is a part of western North Rhine-Westphalia. Willich has a total land area of 67.76 square kilometers with a population of about 52,000 inhabitants as of 2004 census and a population density of 778 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Officially, Willich was founded in 1970 out of the formerly independent villages Willich, Anrath, Schiefbahn and Neersen. However, it can trace its existence way back in the 12th century. The castle is known since the 13th century and was heavily rebuilt in the 17th century. A well known place for pilgrims is the chapel Klein-Jerusalem from the 17th century.

Presently, Willich experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of Germany. This fact has consolidated along with other adjacent municipalities, as a great alternative for residence.
