Voerde is a town and a municipality in the district of Wesel, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Rhine, approximately 10 kilometers south-east of Wesel, and 20 kilometers north of Duisburg. The population of the city as of 2005 was 38,952.
 
Presently, Voerde experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of Germany. Voerde, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place.
