Minden

Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.
 
Minden is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated on the Weser River below the Porta Westfalica and is the capital of the district of Minden-Lubbecke. Its population is 82,900. Minden was first mentioned in 798, when Charlemagne apprehended a convention at the place. In the subsequent centuries it became a cultural centre of the district. The marriage of Henry the Lion took place in the cathedral of Minden in 1168 and the city was a member of the Hanseatic League and a self-governing bishopric principality. After the Peace of Westphalia in 1648, the state was annexed by Brandenburg. 
 
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, luxurious hotels and cottages, Minden is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
