Rodgau is a town in Hessen, which is located in Germany, 18 kilometers south east of Frankfurt. It belongs to the district of Offenbach. It came into being on January 1, 1977 and consists of Weiskirchen, Hainhausen, Jugesheim, Dudenhofen and Nieder-Roden. In Weiskirchen there is a high power transmission facility for medium wave, the transmitter Weiskirchen. In year of 2005, the city had a population of 45,436 inhabitants. The city has an area of 65.04 square kilometers with a population density of 699 per square kilometer.
