Neustadt, Rhineland-Palatinate




Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. The North Sea and the Baltic Sea represent additional National Borders in the North. The official language of Germany is German and Berlin is the capital. The climate is quite pleasant with almost all variety of seasonal flavors as temperate, marine, cool, cloudy, wet winters and summers, occasional warm, tropical foehn wind and high relative humidity.
 
Neustadt is located in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. With around 53,892 inhabitants as of 2002, it is probably the largest city in the State. It has a beautiful old town centre with a market square surrounded by many half-timbered houses. Neustadt has one of the warmest climates in Germany and therefore summer temperatures about 30 to 35 degrees Celsius are common. Neustadt city has an area of 117.10 square kilometers. The city has a population of 53,760 as of 2005.
 
Neustadt is one of several dozen German and Austrian cities called Neustadt. Neustadt translates as New City or New Town, hence the profusion of like-named communities. The ten districts of Neustadt are Diedesfeld, Duttweiler, Geinsheim, Gimmeldingen, Haardt, Hambach, Konigsbach, Lachen-Speyerdorf, Muabach and Winzingen.
 
Neustadt is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
