Huckelhoven is a town and a municipality in the district Heinsberg, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located near Rur River and is about 10 kilometers east of Heinsberg and 20 kilometers south-west of Monchengladbach. Its municipalities are in clockwise direction, starting in the north by Erkelenz, Linnich, Geilenkirchen, Heinsberg and Wassenberg cities. Linnich belongs to the circle Duren, the other municipalities lie in a circle of Heinsberg.
 
Huckelhoven is shaped by the hard coal mining for its development from a village to a city. After a century, the bill Sophia Jacoba is closed, but the city steps in a new development phase. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
