Hofheim




Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. Hofheim is a Frankfurt suburban area and a seat of the Main-Taunus district, in South Hesse. It had a recorded population of 40,863 inhabitants as per the 2002 census. Its geographical placement is 50 degree north and 8 degree east. It was initially mentioned in 1262 as Hoveheim. It is situated at the southern side of Taunus Mountains, which are 17 kilometers on west Frankfurt and 17 kilometers east of Wiesbaden and Mainz. Frankfurt is easily accessible with public transportation and motorways.
 
Hofheim has roadworks to widen the A66 line and is currently being carried out in the area of Hofheim at the exit for the neighbouring town of Hattersheim. The town includes Marxheim, Diedenbergen, Lorsbach, Langenhain, Wallau and Wildsachsen. It is surrounded by forests and open fields.
 
Hofheim is known as the town with best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
