Germany is located in Central Europe and it shares borders with Denmark in the North, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France in the West, Austria and Switzerland in the South and Poland and the Czech Republic in the East. The North Sea and the Baltic Sea represent additional National Borders in the North. The official language of Germany is German and Berlin is the capital. The climate is quite pleasant with almost all variety of seasonal flavors as temperate, marine, cool, cloudy, wet winters and summers, occasional warm, tropical foehn wind and high relative humidity. Germany is divided into 16 states which are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.

Hildesheim is a city in Lower Saxony in Germany, which is located in the district of Hildesheim. It is around 25 kilometers on southeast of Hanover on the banks of Innerste River, which is a small stream of the Leine river. It can be arrived at from Autobahn that links Kassel, Gottingen and Hanover. Hildesheim became the seat of the Bishopric of Hildesheim in the year, 815. For four centuries, its clergy ruled the city before a town hall was built and the citizens achieved some power. In 1367, Hildesheim became a member of the Hanseatic League.

Hildesheim was heavily damaged due to air raids in 1945, especially on March 22. The centre that preserved its medieval character ceased to exist after the raids. After the war, it was rebuilt in a different method and concrete construction replaced the destroyed buildings. Luckily in the end of 1970s, the reconstruction of the historic centre started. The unappealing concrete buildings were destroyed and replaced by replicas of the original buildings.

Hildesheim can be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination, which enjoys a positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
