The climate is quite pleasant with almost all variety of seasonal flavors as temperate, marine, cool, cloudy, wet winters and summers, occasional warm, tropical foehn wind and high relative humidity.

Germany is divided into 16 states which are further subdivided into 439 districts and cities. Germany is one of the largest European economy and the third largest economy in the world in real terms, placed behind the United States and Japan, and fifth behind the United States, China, India and Japan counted by purchasing power parity.

Herzogenrath is a city in the district of Aachen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2004, the population of the city was 47,210. It borders onto the Dutch town of Kerkrade, the national border in one section running along the middle of a main road. Herzogenrath began as a settlement, called Rode, near the river Wurm in the 11th century.

Herzogenrath changed hands numerous times in the last few centuries. Together with the Southern Netherlands it was under Spanish control from 1661, Austrian between 1713 and 1795 and French between 1795 and 1813. In 1815, when the kingdom of the Netherlands was formed, the border was drawn through the town, the eastern part being Prussian Herzogenrath, the western part being Dutch Kerkrade. Herzogenrath is an attractive city with natural beauty and historical places, while traveling in Germany.
