Hennef is a town and a municipality in the Rhein-Sieg district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, which in terms of population and economic output, the largest Federal State of Germany, Germany. It is situated on the river Sieg, approximately 7 kilometers south-east of Siegburg and 15 kilometers east of Bonn. It is situated at an altitude of 68 meters above sea level. As of 2005, it had a population of 45,238 living within an area of 105.79 square kilometers and has a population density of 428 residents per square kilometer.
 
Tourism in Germany has expanded since the end of World War II, and many tourists visit Germany to experience a sense of European history. The countryside exhibits a pastoral aura, while its cities exhibit both a modern and classical feel.
