Fellbach is a German town known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages. It is also one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers. Mid-sized in area and located close to Stuttgart, Fellbach listed a total population of approximately 43,700 inhabitants as of December 2003. The total land area of the city is 27.7 square kilometers and has an elevation of 288 meters.
 
According to the precious archaeological findings, Fellbach was first mentioned as Velbach in 1121. In 1933 it was granted the status as a city and possessed three main districts including Fellbach, Schmiden and Oeffingen. The city has seen many cycles of development dominated by one or a few economic activities.
 
Presently, Fellbach experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of Germany.
