Elmshorn is a city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages. It is also one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers. Located almost 32 kilometers to the north of Hamburg at the small river Kruckau, close to the Elbe River, Elmshorn is the sixth-biggest city in the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
 
Elmshorn possesses a unique history and economic importance as it is the most visited tourist destinations. The industrial development in and around the city has also resulted in the increase of population.
